Access to public procurement related to the tourism sector. It enables consultation, analysis and downloading of the information available on national public procurement platforms, regional platforms and the Official Journal of the European Union.

  • Data source: State Procurement Platform, regional platforms, and the Official Journal of the European Union
  • Data interpretation: The system centralizes access to public procurement related to tourism, facilitating the identification of tenders and minor contracts, which enables:
    • Contributing to transparency in the tourism sector.
    • Identifying best practices in public procurement in tourism.
    • Identifying procurement models to apply based on objectives in order to optimize time and resources.
    • Detecting solutions or responses to challenges shared with other public entities.

The tool provides centralized search and analysis of public procurement related to tourism in Spain

    • Information note: Identification of tourism-related procurement: the aim is to approximate the "tourism scope" through keyword searches in contract objects and their attached documentation, identification of public bodies within the tourism sector, and the selection of CPV codes (classification of economic activities subject to public procurement). Results not related to tourism may appear, so work is ongoing to improve identification through the analysis of possible cases and the exclusion of specific entities and keywords.
    • Scope: includes all major national procurement, minor procurement from autonomous communities hosted on the Public Sector Procurement Platform (PLACSP), and minor procurement from autonomous communities whose platforms are aggregated in PLACSP, depending on availability via open data files or prior request. In this regard, minor procurement from the autonomous community of Galicia is not included.
    • Limitations: search filters and options depend on the quality and availability of the information. Therefore, selections only apply to contracts where the related field is populated. Filters such as place of execution (based on NUTS codes) and type of procedure are not always consistently provided. Additionally, the system is under development, with ongoing data ingestion and planned enhancements to improve access to information.
    • Data verification: please note that the tool is based on automated processes for interpreting open data, so it is recommended to verify the accuracy of the information directly at the original source.
