Balance of Payments

Banco de España

Tourism data shown in the itemised goods and services in Spain’s current and capital account balance of payments.

Latest data: July 2024 | Frequency: Monthly update | Last update: September 2024

INFORMATION:

Due to the border closures forced by the pandemic, the flow of international travellers in April and May 2020 was null. Although there may be some exceptions to the above, the low volume of tourist flows and the impossibility of characterising them makes it inadvisable to include them in our accounts. This treatment is consistent with that adopted by the INE for the results of the EGATUR survey, a fundamental source for tourism revenue in the Balance of Payments.
