Barcelona and Madrid, the most sought-after destinations for Easter
Among the air travel forecasts for Easter in Spain, flight searches suggest an initial travel intention.
Searches for Spanish destinations during Easter Week, according to data provided by ForwardKeys, have reportedly increased by 35%.
The most sought-after destinations are Barcelona, Madrid and Mallorca, highlighting the growth of the latter, along with that of the rest of the Balearic Islands. This is partly due to the increase in searches to these destinations in the two main destinations: the United Kingdom and Germany. There has also been high growth in the French market, which is one of the markets that has seen the greatest increase in searches.

Net bookings for Spanish destinations over Easter Week, according to data provided by ForwardKeys, have reportedly improved by 15.1%.
In terms of travel intention based on purchases, Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca continue to account for the most bookings, although Mallorca, Malaga and Gran Canaria have seen the biggest growth. National bookings remain slightly below last year´s, while bookings in the German and Swiss markets are on the rise.
Capacity from abroad significantly increases over Easter Week
The forecast for Easter Week based on capacity data provided by ForwardKeys suggests an improvement of 18.4%.
More seats are set to be available for destinations such as Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca, with the relative growth of Mallorca and Malaga worth note.
